Philotimo Roasteries

You may be wondering what “philotimo” means. Philotimo (φιλότιμο in Greek) roughly translates to “friend of honor.” It is to take pride in yourself, your family, your community, and doing what’s right.         

Philotimo Roasteries was a client that needed an annual report that matched their level of commitment to roasting the best coffee possible. 

To help them really show off to their shareholders, I made this piece to highlight the company’s values of sustainability and compassion; and the icing on the cake was that the entire thing was made of 100% recycled materials.          

The overall feel was made to be elegant and evoke warmth with original illustrations of everyday items found around a roastery or coffee shop. 

The coffee bag packaging shown is 100% compostable material and was a re-brand for the company ahead of its debut in nationwide grocery store chains.
