New Year Baijiu

New Year Baijiu (heretofore referred to as NYB) is being presented by Equinox Distilleries as an introduction to baijiu (bai-j’yo), a popular liquor in China that is made from distilled sorghum, rice, and wheat. 

With its popularity in China encompassing both drinking and cooking circles, it is the most popular liquor in the world. 

Baijiu can be found in the States at Wine and Specialty stores, but Equinox wishes to introduce this popular drink to the American liquor industry.

With NYB, Equinox will launch this product in tandem with the Chinese New Year, and then again on New Year’s Eve. 

Depending on the year it was distilled, the label reflects the animal of the Chinese Zodiac that correlates with that year.
